"Was pleasantly surprised when I decided to grab some quick dinner for my son after playing in the playground across the road. The fish was well cooked and not dry, and the chips were tasty. We are not super local but will go out of our way again to eat here. Also, the staff were really lovely and offered us to use their loo if we couldn't get into the locked loo around the corner. I'm sorry for all of the terrible reviews you are getting. It was not our experience."

"This place was outstanding in customer service. I called my order through whilst in the carpark unable to go into the store with my baby. When I ordered I asked for the total price so my eldest daughter could go in with the correct cash to pay. When I was told it was going to be over $20 I deleted some items from my order to make it just over $10. I'm a single mum that just couldn't afford more than that on dinner. My daughter went in 5 mins later and came out with our order and the correct change. When we got home it was the biggest surprise. Everything we originally ordered was inside. I cannot thank this business enough. We all ate the beautiful fish and chips and it feed the whole family without going over our budget. Thankyou sincerely for helping out our family in these times when our finances are so tight. Couldn't speak more highly of this small business. You made mine and my daughter's take away for the week experience wonderful."

"Souvalaki tonight loosely wrapped and went everywhere, hd to wrap it to eat it in Alford as I’ve always had it. Loverly souvlaki just presentation lacked! Last week ordered a Chicken Schnitzel sandwich and got a roll, when I got home. tonight for a chicken schnitzel sandwich only to have the person taking the order to repeat back to me a chicken schnitzel roll. Had to pull her up and say a sandwich,you mucked this up last week. Staff need to pay attention to what’s sais and not assume the order.ask them to repeat your order and confirm. It’s a great fish and chip shop,good serves ."

"Had a chicken kebab, that's on offer from the new owners. Not too bad, bread was a little doughy maybe need better turkish bread or toast it a bit. Garlic sauce needs a bit more flavour kick and red onions instead of what was used with a few tweaks these could be really great local kebabs."

"Look, it's not the worst fish and chips and not the best but you won't be disappointed, the chips were bloody good. Fish could be a bit bigger and potatoe cakes less soggy but will be back many times again. Doesn't deserve the bad reviews."

"Most of the time really good. We get fish, chips and potato cakes from here regularly and the batter is crispy and yummy. Very occasionally the chips are soggy and cold or the fish is dry. But that's pretty unusual for them. Service is fine, they are efficient but busy. Parking is easy, there's always space in that carpark."
